Caliphas is wrapped in a globe of permanent shadow, and it's all Vampirella's fault for unwittingly using a gift from a cruel god - the Blade of Darkness! Once the sword drew blood it enveloped the city in a cursed sheath of night, which has drawn countless creatures of the dark to the city, endangering everyone... including Vampirella's new friends, the adventurers Kyra and Merisiel.
