1814. In the final years of the Napoleonic Wars, a crew of British sailors are caught in a violent storm. Their ship is wrecked and the survivors find themselves marooned on a desolate, lonely island off the North coast of Scotland. Searching the settlement for signs of life, they find it long since abandoned and decide to set up camp.
